Become a Community Sport Development Coordinator
Sport Nova Scotia is seeking an ambitious and motivated individual with proven experience in sport development at the community level. This is a one-year maternity leave contract position.
A true self-starter, the Community Sport Development Coordinator is responsible to work with community sport organizations, provincial sport organizations, schools and community groups to identify, collaborate and support the continuation and creation of sustainable sport opportunities in the Valley region.
Reporting to the Manager of Participation Development, the Community Sport Development Coordinator will be based in Kentville and work closely with the regional manager for the Nova Scotia Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage.
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary designation in a related field or equivalent work experience in sport administration at the local, provincial or national level. Experience working with multiple stakeholders, communicating effectively, and event/meeting coordination would be considered assets.
