Regional Sport Consultant

(Fundy Region - East Hants, Colchester & Cumberland) 

 

Sport Nova Scotia is seeking an ambitious and motivated individual with proven experience in program development, implementation and evaluation. A responsible self-starter, the Regional Sport Consultant will work with community sport organizations affiliated with provincial sport organizations, schools and community groups to identify, collaborate and support the continuation and creation of sustainable sport opportunities in the Fundy region.  The successful candidate will also work with local governments such as municipalities, villages and First Nations.

Currently reporting to the CEO, the Regional Sport Consultant will be based in Fundy and work closely with the Regional Manager for the Department of Communities Culture and Heritage to support sport opportunities throughout the region. 

The ideal candidate will have a university or college designation in a related field or equivalent work experience coaching, playing or administrating sport at the provincial or national team level. Experience in marketing, communications, and event or meeting coordination would be considered assets.

 

This is a term, full- time position with a start date of September 16, 2019 and end date of October 2, 2020.  A full job description is available here.
