GoodLife came on board as a silver sponsor for the annual Manulife Dragon Boat Festival in July, and the company is looking at other ways to support and partner with Sport Nova Scotia, Decoeli says.

“We’re definitely focused on delivering the same grassroots message—promoting active living, getting kids involved in fitness, and supporting the overall wellness of the people in our communities,” Decoeli says.

“There are many serious health-related issues to deal with here in Atlantic Canada including obesity and preventable illness such as diabetes and heart disease. Anytime we can align with a group that is also working toward increasing wellness through activity, that’s a good thing. We’re looking to see how we can grow that partnership in future either through support of KidSport™ or through sponsorship of other Sport Nova Scotia events.”

GoodLife Fitness was founded in London, Ontario in 1979, and includes almost 300 locations across Canada. There are 16 GoodLife facilities in Nova Scotia, including the newest slated to open in Bedford near the Larry Uteck interchange in September.
