B. Program area: PSO Projects
This is funding that will be available to active and associate members of Sport Nova Scotia for organizational initiatives to increase participation and support coach and officials development

Funding amount: $350,000

Funding criteria/evaluation:
The criteria that will be considered for this funding program are the following:
1. Fit of the project within the Long-Term Athlete Development Model
2. How the project develops the Try-Learn-Play pathway
3. Technical support for the program design and delivery
4. What program(s) are to be delivered in each year of the project, specifically:
    a. Outcomes (what is learned/delivered)
    b. Frequency, duration, and length of sessions
    c. Leadership
5. Budget
6. Sustainability

Evaluations of these programs will occur annually. Evaluations will review the areas listed below.
1. Meeting program goals
2. Quality of program
3. Number of participants
4. Financials
5. Leadership

Allocation process:
Organizations can apply four times annually. A Support4Sport review committee with representation from SNS, CSCA, NSHPP, and a representative from the sport community will make decisions regarding allocations.

Application/allocation timeline:
Deadlines for applications are January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st annually.

Reporting Process / Timeline:
Reports for applications are due one year after the application is approved. Reports must include:

1. Outline of program and key benefits to the sport.
2. Outline of actual budget.

Any organization receiving funding who does not submit a final report will be ineligible to receive funding from Support4Sport programs.

C. Program area: Participation development support
This is funding for PSOs to support their participation development programs. PSOs receiving block funding will be eligible for the minimum funding. Funding will be given out on a four-year cycle in conjunction with block funding. Funding will allocated at six levels:
a. $30,000
b. $20,000
c. $15,000
d. $10,000
e. $5,000
f. $2,000

Funding amount: $495,000

Funding criteria/evaluation:
The following criteria will be considered when determining funding from this program:
1. PSOs participation development plan
2. Fit of the plan within the Long-Term Athlete Development Model
3. Technical support (leadership) for the plan design and delivery
4. PSOs leadership development plan
5. Number of participants
6. Appropriate community linkages
7. Measurement/evaluation mechanisms for the plan
8. Budget
9. Sustainability

The annual evaluation for programs receiving funding from this area will be based on agreed upon measures of the plan and an examination of the criteria listed above.

Allocation process:
Allocations will occur in conjunction with block funding. Decisions on allocations will be made by a Support4Sport review committee with representation from SNS, CSCA, NSHPP, and a representative from the sport community.

Application/allocation timeline:
Application deadlines will be in conjunction with block funding. The deadline is projected to be December 15th annually.

Reporting Process:
Annual reports are due by March 15th each year. Funding for the following year will not be provided until annual report from previous year is received. Reports must include:

1. Outline of program and key benefits to the sport.
2. Number of participants in programs.
3. Geographical distribution of participants in the province.
4. Outline of actual budget.

Any organization receiving funding who does not submit a final report will be ineligible to receive funding from Support4Sport programs until a report is submitted.
