Funding amount: $495,000 available annually to be allocated through this program
The following criteria will be considered when determining funding from this program:
1. Ability to relate historical participation development factors
2. PSOs participation development plan
3. Human capital development strategies
4. Appropriate community linkages
5. Number of athletes
6. Ability to anticipate and recognize potential challenges to participation development
7. Measurement and evaluation
The annual evaluation for programs receiving funding from this area will be based on agreed upon measures of the plan and an examination of the criteria listed above.

Decisions on allocations will be made by a Support4Sport review committee with representation from Sport Nova Scotia, Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic, the Department of Health and Wellness, and a representative from the sport community. Allocations are typically released in late April, early May.
Application deadlines will be in conjunction with block funding. The deadline is projected to be February 1st annually.
Annual reports are due by March 15th each year. Funding for the following year will not be provided until annual report from previous year is received.
Any organization receiving funding who does not submit a final report will be ineligible to receive funding from Support4Sport programs until a report is submitted.
