2nd Annual Taste of Gold
Event:
On November 10, Nova Scotians will gather to raise the profile of sport and to raise funds that will positively impact the athletic community province-wide.
The day begins with Paul Tingley, Nova Scotia’s gold medallist from the 2008 Paralympic Games, visiting a school in Halifax. He will inspire students by sharing how sport has helped to shape his life, his Paralympic success, and how sport can play a positive role in the lives of young people.
In the evening, guests will gather at the World Trade and Convention Centre for a sports-themed evening, enjoying delicious foods, live entertainment including the Blown Gasket Orchestra and comedian Gerry Dee. At the evening’s end, all funds raised will go toward helping two organizations that are making a difference in the lives of our aspiring and achieved athletes: Sport Nova Scotia’s KidSport™ program, and high performance training groups through the Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic.
The 2nd Annual Taste of Gold is presented by Doctors Nova Scotia. Deloitte is the proud Premiere sponsor.
