Mission Statement: |
Blind Sports Nova Scotia, a division of the Canadian Blind Sports Association, is comprised of blind, visually impaired and sighted individuals interested in recreation and competitive sports. Nova Scotian members, aged 10 or over, are encouraged to become involved in such sports as goal ball, track and field, swimming, blind hockey, curling, lawn bowling, tandem cycling, power lifting, judo, wrestling, downhill and cross country skiing, golf, and horseback riding. Participation in either recreational or competitive events is encouraged at regional, national, and international levels. Monies raised by fund-raising events are used to help athletes travel to competitions. |
